Candice & Reggie's DC Engagement Session
A Tour of DC's Coolest Photoshoot Locations
There are so many fun places to take engagement photos in DC, and I love it when my couples help me find new spots!
Candice and Reggie are getting married in August, and we met up at sunrise for their engagement session last weekend. They knew they wanted to go to Culture House (a church turned art gallery) and Byrdland Records in Union Market, but they were searching for a garden too. We decided on one of my favorite places, the Smithsonian Castle.
I hadn't been back to the gardens behind the Castle since February (on a very snowy day), and it was amazing to see it in full bloom! The gardens felt tropical, with palm trees lining many of the pathways. I also loved seeing all the bunnies and ducks that were running around the garden enjoying the beautiful spring weather!
After an outfit change, we headed five minutes down the road to Culture House. This former church was such a fun and different spot! The building itself is a work of art, painted with butterflies and colorful patterns.
After some time at Culture House, we drove to Union Market to go to Byrdland Records. Candice and Reggie were so excited to visit this spot because they love listening to music on vinyl!
Their wedding day is approaching fast and I can't wait!
